This site is a personal portfolio. It is built to be simple and respectful of your privacy. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does not track you. This page explains the little data that is involved when you visit or get in touch.

1. Who is responsible

This website is owned and operated by Ali Al Ramahi ("I", "me"), based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. For any privacy question or request, contact ali.alramahi@me.com.

2. What data is involved

Information you choose to send

If you use the contact form, you provide your name, email address and the message you write. This is given voluntarily and is used only to read and reply to your enquiry.

Technical data needed to serve the site

Like any website, when your browser loads a page it shares standard technical information (such as your IP address, browser type and the files requested) with the services that deliver the site. This is processed to display the site, keep it secure and maintain availability. It is not used to identify you or build a profile, and it is not combined with the contact form data.

3. The services this site relies on

A handful of trusted providers help deliver the site. Each may process the technical data above as part of doing so:

Your contact-form message is processed by Web3Forms and delivered to me by email. It is not sold or shared with anyone else, and it is not used for marketing.

4. Why I process it, and the legal basis

• To answer you. When you send a message, I process it to respond and to handle any follow-up. Where the GDPR applies, the basis is your consent and my legitimate interest in replying to enquiries.
• To run the site. Serving and securing the website relies on the technical data above, on the basis of legitimate interest in providing a working, safe site.

5. How long it is kept

Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to deal with your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up, then deleted. Provider server logs are retained for short periods by those providers under their own policies. Nothing is kept to build a long-term record of you.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the data I hold about you, to correct or delete it, to object to or restrict its processing, and to request a copy. To exercise any of these, email ali.alramahi@me.com and I will respond promptly. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

7. International access

The site is operated from the United Arab Emirates and can be reached worldwide. The providers listed above may process data in other countries, including the United States and the European Union, under their own safeguards.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

9. Accessibility statement

I want this site to be usable by everyone. It is built to meet the WCAG 2.1 AA standard: semantic headings, keyboard navigation, sufficient colour contrast, descriptive image alternatives, and respect for reduced-motion preferences. It scores 100 for accessibility in Google Lighthouse. If anything is hard to use with assistive technology, please tell me at ali.alramahi@me.com and I will fix it.
